Virtue Signaling - It's a Lie!
Whenever you are in the car and you see someone put on their blinker, what do you think? You expect them to turn the next chance they get. Does that mean they always do? Not at all, because sometimes the signal was not an accurate description of what was going to happen. This summer, I learned a new phrase. Virtue signaling, albeit not a new concept, is the label we've been looking for in this social media saturated world. The life we find ourselves living online is riddled with signals that suggest (and sometimes outright scream) something that is, at best, an exaggeration and often a very big lie.
