HelpTeaching.com: A Test and Worksheet Resource Review

Disclaimer: I received a FREE copy of this product through the HOMESCHOOL REVIEW CREW in exchange for my honest review.  I was not required to write a positive review nor was I compensated in any other way.

Like the name suggests, there are many times when we simply need help teaching!  Especially as a homeschooler, it is common to need a supplement or resource to give extra help or go in a direction a child is more interested in. Today we're reviewing the HelpTeaching Pro Subscription from HelpTeaching.com and going to find out how much help it really can be.

What We Received:

We received one year subscription to HelpTeaching Pro Subscription which includes unlimited tests and worksheets, up to 100 questions possible on each sheet, unlimited online lessons with embedded videos, ability to save as PDFs, and access to Test Room with unlimited tests and questions for up to 500 students.  The resources are available in a variety of subjects including Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies, Vocational Studies, Holiday and Seasonal, Early Education, Handwriting, Study Skills, Art and Music.

How It Works:

HelpTeaching.com is really the resource you make it to be.  If you have a specific need you can search by grade or subject to find the right pre-made worksheet.  In the Lessons section, there are pre-made information videos usually combined with a printable worksheet or online questions.  The Test Maker section allows you to create a test for whatever occasion you need.  You determine the subject, number of questions, the type of questions (fill in the blank, multiple choice, etc.) and can even write your own question if you desire to.  Within the Test Room section, you can assign tests and lessons to multiple students.  This can be used as an independent learning resource when needed while at the same time a place to come up with themed assignments for holidays and special units.  From coloring sheets to word finder puzzles and all the math facts in between, you can supplement your homeschool curriculum quite heavily with all the resources available here.

How We Used It:

My 3 year old son loves 'doing school' with the big kids so we used the Early Education section pretty heavily with him.  There are plenty of coloring sheets for all the numbers and letters, but there are also fun coloring/worksheet pages for shapes and colors too.  My 9 and 6 year old browsed through the lessons and videos and were asked to pick a few watch and learn from.  Children love seeing their familiar world clash with a seemingly unrelated element so they got excited about personalized word search pages as well. We also surveyed several of their Summer-themed worksheets that highlighted fireworks, 4th of July and getting hot in the sun!

HelpTeaching.com is great for filling in the gaps or giving some extra activities to a subject.  When you need educational activities to fill in some time between other activities, the lesson section is a great place to hang out! If you teach multiple students or teach co-op classes, this type of resources could make all the difference.  No matter your need, this resource gives you plenty of help!
